With the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, the Royal Canadian Mint had created a commemorative 12 coin set. I was hired to design a pocket sized coin card that was to be featured and interacted with in the commercial. I developed a winter colour scheme and illustrated all the graphics. The mountains are evocative of Vancouver, the waves give flowing movement while adding to the sports aspect, and the maple leaf acts as an accent and gives a nice Canadian flare.

The television spot took place at a hockey arena where a father and his daughter are going around trying to collect the last coin to complete his olympic quarter collection. The commercial concludes with them cheering on the team and the dad placing the last coin into the coin card.
